Sourcing

Sourcing is finding, vetting and buying the products a seller will sell — from local suppliers or from abroad — and getting them into the warehouse the orders will ship from.

Why sourcing decides margin before a single ad runs

A seller's profit is fixed the moment the unit price is agreed. Advertising can raise volume and fulfilment can raise the delivery rate, but neither can recover a product bought too expensively.

This is where new sellers lose money most often: paying a local wholesaler's retail-adjacent price, then discovering the market will not bear the markup they need.

What vetting a supplier actually means

How MDM Express sources

We work with over 500 vetted suppliers and can source a requested product in 24 to 48 hours. Sellers can also buy independently and ship to our warehouse — sourcing through us is optional. Where sellers use it, unit prices are typically 25–35% below what they reach alone, because the volume is pooled across thousands of sellers.
